This is a video of an automobile accident, in which Jose Izquierdo got stuck in a flaming vehicle. It was an extremely scary scenario, but some helpful people came up to help. Patricia Marty, a police officer, was one of them. She was accompanied by two workers from Texas A&M Transportation Services and a University of North Texas student.

They worked to rescue Jose from the burning car.  Before the automobile caught fire entirely, they were able to remove him from it by using firefighting equipment to put out the flames. Jose suffered serious injuries in the accident, yet he survived. He had to visit the hospital to get better and heal from his wounds.

This amazing example of kindness quickly became known across the community. The rescue team members were recognized as heroes by the community.
